Donald Joseph Qualls better known as the screen DJ Qualls, better known by his stage DJ Qualls was born in the US. He is an actor, producer and model. After gaining fame through his roles in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films such as The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. In addition, he's appeared in more than 22 series, such as Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. Qualls had been diagnosed as having Hodgkin's Lymphoma around age 14, and has battled it ever since. Within two years the cancer is now into the stage of remission. The earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health as well as stunted development. Once he started acting financially secure, it was the ultimate goal since his experience with poverty had been a part of his childhood. When I've lived in such a shabby way for so long, I must have this financial security. Otherwise the world seems out of my control. He reflects on his early years, and is driven by the desire to act against the bullying. "Cruelty makes me cry," he said. The ideal job for DJs is one of a real father. However, he does admit that most directors do not choose him for these kinds of jobs. Someday he would love to be a father himself when he would be able to spend more time to his work and more time with his children.
